A brilliant winter-blooming bulb! Decaen Anemones are easy to grow providing a long-lasting display. The blooms are a popular cut flower with a fantastic vase life.

Soak the bulbs overnight in a glass of water prior to planting. Anemones need a full sun to partly shaded position, with very well-drained soil. Prepare your beds to a depth of 20cm, ensuring the soil is light and fluffy. Your bulbs should be planted with the 'fat end down. We suggest allowing 5cm in between each bulb, but you can stretch it out for a less full display. Cover the bulbs with approximately 2cm of soil. If growing your bulbs in a pot, select a high-quality potting mix, specifically: suited to bulb growing. Keep the pot in a sunny position, and remember it it needs watering Potted bulbs should not have a saucer placed under the pot.

Your Anemone should be fed as they come into bloom. A quick-release fertiliser is needed to ensure the food is available for their short feeding season.

Remember to ALWAYS allow the foliage to fully die down on the bulb this helps grow and feed next years flowers Anemone do not require yearly lifting or refrigeration. Bulbs can be left UNDISTURBED for many years. If you wish to divide your clumps, harvest the bulbs in early summer. Store in a cool, dry position, until planting the following autumn
