Digitalis trojana - Helen of Troy Foxglove
This little-known Turkish beauty is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial with lance-shaped leaves and large, densely furry, silver-haired spikes of yellow and brown funnel-shaped flowers with a conspicuous creamy-white lip in summer. Long blooming, more drought tolerant than other digitalis and happiest in a cool, somewhat shady setting. Very unusual, rare and beautiful. Like all foxgloves, this is toxic if ingested.
