Verbena officinalis var. grandiflora 'Bampton'

A beautiful cultivar of Verbena found growing near the town of Bampton in Devon. The foliage is a deep purple with a metallic sheen, from whichclouds of purple stems topped with small pink/purple flowers erupt in Spring, flowering till frosts. It is loved by bees and makes a wonderful feature plant in the border. Tolerant of most soil types and fairly drought hardy when established.
